Understanding In Vivo Chromatic Aberrations in Pseudophakic Eyes Using on Bench and Computational Approaches

چکیده
Diffractive multifocal intraocular lenses (IOLs) modulate chromatic aberration and reduce it at certain distances due to interactions between the refractive diffractive components. However, extent which computer modeling on bench measurements of IOL translate in patients implanted with these IOLs (MIOLs) is not yet fully understood. In this study, we compare difference focus longitudinal aberrations pseudophakic different designs (monofocal trifocal IOLs) materials (hydrophobic hydrophilic), compared them predictions from eye models same IOLs. Patient data consisted results 63 eyes reported four studies obtained psychophysically visual testing channel a custom-developed polychromatic adaptive optics system. Computational were using ray tracing models, modulation transfer function (MTF) physical models. We found that LCA (in vivo/simulated) for far vision was 1.37 ± 0.08 D/1.19 D monofocal hydrophobic, 1.21 D/0.88 hydrophilic, 0.99 0.06 MIOL 0.82 0.05 hydrophilic. For intermediate near vision, 0.67 0.10 D/0.75 0.23 D/0.19 hydrophobic 0.27 0.15 D/0.38 D/−0.13 respectively. conclusion, computational allowed evaluating vivo lenses.

Effect of chromatic aberration on contrast sensitivity in pseudophakic eyes.
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the effect of chromatic aberrations in pseudophakic eyes with various types of intraocular lenses (IOLs). PATIENTS AND METHODS The study included 51 eyes of 33 patients who underwent cataract surgery. The eyes were divided into 3 groups according to the material from which their IOL was made: group 1, polymethyl methacrylate; group 2, silicone; and group 3, an acrylate/m...

Correcting chromatic aberrations using image warping
The problem of chromatic aberration arises because each wavelength of light is refracted diierently by the elements of a lens. Unfortunately , this means that is image will be blurred and distorted. In color imaging these distortions cause measurable diierences between the images. Recent research has proposed an approach for dealing with this aberrations by actively controlling the optics of th...

An achromatic element eliminating only longitudinal chromatic aberration (LCA) while maintaining transverse chromatic aberration (TCA) is established for the eye model, which involves the angle formed by the visual and optical axis. To investigate the impacts of higher-order aberrations on vision, the actual data of higher-order aberrations of human eyes with three typical levels are introduced...
